Usage and Function
DT 1KV2000 transformer bushing insulators serve several vital functions in oil-filled distribution transformers:
1.Electrical Insulation: Their primary purpose is to provide electrical insulation for the conductor carrying current as it passes through the wall of the transformer tank. This prevents electrical faults between the live conductor and the grounded tank.
2.Current Conduction: They provide a safe and reliable path for the electrical current (up to 2000 amperes in this case) to enter or leave the transformer windings.
3.Mechanical Support: The bushing provides mechanical support for the electrical conductor.
4.Sealing: In oil-filled transformers, the bushing helps to maintain the seal of the transformer tank, preventing oil leakage and the ingress of contaminants.
